The Story Behind Real Vintage Roots

Real Vintage Roots was founded in 2022 by husband-and-wife team Duncan and Vicki—who have a shared love of beautifully made, mid-century furniture and an enthusiasm for sustainable living. Together, they have filled their home with a great variety of vintage treasures!

Duncan’s passion for sourcing and restoring high-quality vintage pieces spans many years, with a particular fondness for Ercol and other iconic designs of the era. With a background in sign fitting and the building trade, self-taught and detail obsessed, he has developed an impressive set of restoration skills. Duncan brings each piece back to life with care, consideration  and craftsmanship.

Vicki, a former Early Years teacher, has always had a love for natural, sustainable products and timeless interiors. Whilst on maternity leave. she began to take on a bigger role in the business—and now works alongside Duncan to help Real Vintage Roots continue to grow and evolve.

Small Business, Big Plans

The couple now have two young children, a dog and a cat, so their lives are busy! Having outgrown the family home, they have taken on a large storage unit, which has allowed them to expand their stock and showcase more restorations. Viewings can be made by appointment.
