This beautiful vintage writing desk was produced by Ercol for just one year (1969–70), making it a rare and highly collectable piece. Made from solid English elm, it showcases the very best of Ercol’s mid-century quality and design. Beautifully proportioned and immensely well made, in our opinion, it is a collector’s dream. We were very tempted to keep it ourselves in fact, but space sadly doesn’t allow.
 
The desk sits on its original casters. Storage is generous, with three drawers to each pedestal and two additional drawers at the top.
 
The piece has been fully restored by Duncan to a very high standard. It has been carefully stripped and refinished with several coats of hardwax oil. The bottom left handle has been repaired - it is not obvious but you might notice if you are looking closely. All drawers are running smoothly and the key is included for the locks, which are in working order.
